The Duchy of the Moon is ruled by Duke Regis. He came to power when his father, Duke Artallory, was assassinated by Rogue Stones.

The main settlements are as follows :

• Dawn Port is the capital and is the westernmost port of Athory. In the times of the Empire it was the main port for ships travelling to and from the Kerris Isles (where silver was mined).
• Dranaja is the northernmost city of the Duchy, a port across the sea from Sydan Lirrisor in the Duchy of the Arc.
• Sand Harbour is the southernmost city of the Duchy, like Daranaja, it is a port across the sea from Shell Harbour in the Duchy of Stones.
• Star Castle is on the eastern coast of the Duchy, close to Grey Port of the Duchy of the Arc and to Jerithorn of the Duchy of Stones. During the time of the Empire, Star Castle was a training shrine for Blades.
